In the previous week, we discussed Skin Care tips for Brides, this week, we will delve into our favourite cosmetic products for brides.

I sometimes forget that it is not normal for everyone to carry around that much makeup. Oftentimes, when I am with a bride, my client almost never fails to peer into my extensive kit.  With rows and rows of shiny bottles and pretty cases in every manner of glitter and colour, it is a treat for the eyes, and makes every bride feel spoiled and well taken care of.

My clients also ask me many questions about the different products they see, and here is the answer to one of the top questions – what are my favourite go-tos for a natural, glowy bridal look?

1. Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

Most of the time, brides-to-be are excited and find it difficult  to have restful sleep the night before their big day. While understandable, the lack of sleep unfortunately does a number on the skin. I find that the Clarins Flash Balm, used either as a mask or a moisturiser,  is fantastic for illuminating and plumping up dull and tired skin. The result is instantaneous, giving a great base to apply makeup on.

2. Japanese False Eyelashes

False lashes are a necessity in my  bridal makeup kit. They give an extra fluttery, whimsical feel to the overall look. However, some fake lashes can be very uncomfortable and look unnatural. In my opinion, false lashes made by Japanese brands feel very luxurious and always look amazing in photographs. They are slightly on the pricey side but are definitely worth investing in. Nothing but the best for my brides.

3. Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray

Weddings are often all-day or all-night affairs. To keep makeup looking fresh, constant powder touch-ups are not the answer as it can lead to makeup looking worn and cakey. Tried and tested personally and on many brides, the Urban Decay All-Nighter Setting Spray guarantees makeup’s longevity while keeping that dewy finish.

Glamourously yours,
